How to Repair a Leaking Delta Faucet
If you have been using a delta faucet, you must be aware of a very common problem; leaking delta faucet. Here you will learn how to repair a leaking delta faucet. No matter if it is leaking at the handle or just dripping from the tab, all you need to do is replace its rotary ball.
You can repair a one-handle faucet or a water-spout easily with general repair tool kit that you can buy from local hardware store. This is not too costly and can be a handy kit for many such repairing requirements. With a right type of tool kit the repairing a leaking delta faucet is just 15 minutes job.

What you should do first, before starting to repair a leaking delta faucet, is close the water supply valve to the faucet. Generally water supply valves for the faucets are found below the faucet itself. But, if you do not find a valve underneath the sink, you can consider the main water supply for a few minutes. But make sure that you inform all others that you are going to shut-off the water supply, in case someone needs it in emergency. Now just clean the faucet of any water and open it from handle.
You need to remove the faucet handle and can use an Allen wrench to do the job. The wrench should be rotated counterclockwise to open the knob. Now remove by white cap or the dome of the faucet by unwinding screws. You can see the rotary ball now. Take it out of the faucet and check for any visible leak or scratch on it. If found, replace it with a new one. Remove the rubber seats and springs from inside. You can use Allen wrench for it. Replace the whole assembly into the faucet holes.
You have replaced the rotary assembly and its time to assemble the faucet as it was. Replace the chrome dome and faucet handle. All you need to do now is confirm that you have repaired the leaking delta faucet. You can do this by turning the water supply on and let the water flow in. It must have repaired now.
